03 650 rincon oil changes

I recently traded my 99 450 foreman ES for a 03 650 rincon and was wanting to do my normal grease everything change the oil to synthetic and what not, but I dont have a owners manuel on the rincon. Does anyone know off the top of their heads how many quarts and what weight and type you would recommend. Also a buddy of mine said he thought the same oil you put in the motor also runs the torque converter on this is there any truth to this ?

OK... the 03 Rincon (from a former owner of one)

10W-40 Honda GN-4 oil is what I recommend.

This oil lubricates the motor, transmission, torque converter, the whole works... except the front and rear differentials.

The diffs take 80W-90 gear oil

You'll need a 17mm socket to change the engine oil... (the 17mm socket also works for the front and rear diff fill caps.) and a 10mm socket to remove the front and rear diff drain plugs.

There are no grease fittings on the machine.... all fittings are lifetime sealed or ball-joints.. the factory front wheel bearings SUCK... so sooner or later you'll have to replace them.. When you do, replace them with either Moose or High Lifter SEALED bearings.

Hope this helps.

Ride safe,

Chuck.

the manual lists 3 quarts... HOWEVER... it doesn't always take that much

I usually put 2 and a half in... started the motor... and went from there.

start... run for about a minute... shut off... wait for a minute... check again and add as needed.

the reason for this is that the oil in the oil cooler doesn't all drain out... therefore you can't get the entire 3 quarts out... or put an entire 3 quarts back in.

Ride Safe,

Chuck
