Sportsman Electrical Problem

I have a problem, I've got two quads both sportsmans a 04 and a 94 400 2-stroke. The 04 is perfect. When i took the 94 out of the barn for ice fishing the battery was dead. I pull started it and replaced the battery. After i replaced the battery i have no electronics. The solenoid clicks, but the starter does nothing, I have no lights at all when its running or just with the key on. Some one told me that if you start these quads with a dead battery it blows all your electrical, lights, solenoid, switches, etc. is this just a myth or has someone heard of this, and if so where do i start to fix it. Any help would be great. Thanks

I wouldnt think that that would happen,if that was the case then they wouldnt put a backup pull starter on it.Check your fuses, could have touched something to ground and you not even know it and that could have blown one.If the bike has been sitting for a while then one of your fuses could have corrosion on it also.

Have you checked to see if there is any sort of fuse or fuse link that may be blown?

Never heard of this before.

Well i did a little research and found this is a problem with the battery being low, i have to replace all the bulbs and the solenoid and some switches associated with it all. A mistake and a costly one, if anyone else has had this problem let me know i would like to hear about it. AND FOR THE REST OF YOU, CHARGE YOUR BATTERIES.
