Eiger owners, need help

I bought an 07 Eiger a few months ago. I was putting a rear bumper on and noticed a 1/4 " black pvc hose hanging over the rear axle. Looks like it runs down from under the tank area. I've been riding the crap outta this little bike and it's been great. At the same time I noticed the hose, I saw a vent type nipple connector at the top of the brake drum on the right rear side. I initially thought this hose was a vent line from something else, but wondering if the hose should be attached to this connector? Could another Eiger owner take a look and see if the hose needs to be connected at this point?

Thanks

Yes that is a vent for your brakes. If its not on there it will let water and mud get in there and eat your brakes up and possibly your rear end seals

Thanks for the reply. I've ridden twice with it unattached. I would imagine the best thing to do is to pull the brakes apart and clean thoroughly? Any big issues with pulling the drum apart? I would imagine it will be somewhat straight forward.

Yeah its not a bad job at all.Pull the drum cover off and spray it down real good with brake cleaner, let it dry and you should be good to go
