Lightbulb snorkel

more questions from me again...2007 big bear irs 4x4

#1 when making a snorkle kit...would the carb have to be adjusted any for air flow??? also, what material would be used. i like things to look nice and be right...need some sort of jump start on the snorkle deal. don't particularly need it to be very high, just above gas tank. can i just run it from the breather with some type of hose??? any help would be appreciated. also anything else that would need to be snorkled that i don't know about on 07 bear, other than breather/exhaust?
#2 a good deal on a winch, place i could order from via credit card
#3 any way to seal electrical plugs?? 4x4 plug is exposed to water on front suspension area, not sealed from factory, tends to get drowned. surely there is a way to seal this off...every other wire is sealed from factory.

if anyone has any wonderful revelations/thoughts on the above, feel free to offer an opinion. thanks to all!!!
by the way, on @ 2:24am because i am at work...4pm to 4am

As far as the snorkel goes, try and run 2in pvc pipe as much as possible, that will keep the bike from running rich.Try to keep as less bends as possible, the more bends you have the more air it will restrict. You will need to run all of your vacum lines up with the snorkel, carb lines, differentail lines. If you run the snorkel about the height of your handlebars then you should be good to go.

Not sure on the winch,Im actually looking myself for a good deal on one.

To seal your plugs,I would use di-electric grease.I use that on all my connections and it works great.I pack it in all my connections and never had a problem with it

You can pick that grease up at any parts store.Yeah you can run your snorkel from the airbox and go with it.Take your time and do a dry run before glueing to make sure everythign fits. After you get it together, mark all of your joints and everything so that you know how the parts went back together
