Just wondering what the level of difficulty is to install a clutch kit in a 2007 650 brute force, my local atv store wants about 550 - 600 bucks for the kit and installation

DAMN!!! yeah that is a little high. The extreme EPI kit is only $200.You you can get the primary removal tool for around $35.If you have the tool then the instalation is pretty simple. It should only take you around an hour to install if that. The only catch is the secondary spring you will need a press or something like that to take the old spring off and put the new one on.
I believe it fits Kawi's,Polaris's and Artic Cats. Not sure on the rest cause they use a diff type of clutch system.Yamaha,Suzuki I know use a wet type clutch system and the others I mentioned use a dry clutch system. The wet styles are alot more in depth as far as installing a clutch kit in them. The dry systems are fairly simple.

OK I'm lost. What do you mean by a wet style clutch?
Kawi's,Artic Cats and Polaris's dont use an internal clutch system like the Yamaha and Suzuki do.On those 2 bikes the sling out weights are inside the case and run in oil. When you install a clutch kit on them you have to pull the entire belt cover off and pull a plate off the side of the motor to pull them out. There are 5 small springs that you have to install there. On the other 3 bikes, everything is on the inside of the belt cover, there is no oil for the clutch to run in so that is why they call it a dry system.
