| What year is it? You might need to clean out the main jet | | | | Apr 6th, 07, 09:32 PM | | Super Moderator STAFF Join Date: Mar 2006 Location: Florida

| Try and clean the carb out real good.Could have some biuldup in the slow circuit abd is stopping fuel from flowing into your pilot jet. Also pull the main jet out and the brass tube that you main jet screws into will slide out through the top of the carb.Pull it out and make sure all the holes in the side of it are clean.
Most of the time if the float is stuck it will cause it to run real rich and blow black smoke out and they wont rev up.Usually when they rev up like that it is caused by a lean mixture on the slow circuit somewhere. | | | | Apr 6th, 07, 10:03 PM | | Junior Member Join Date: Aug 2006

| Yes soak it in carb cleaner and if you have one, take an air compressor and use a blow nozzle to blow through every hole you see in the carb. There may be a piece of trash stuck somewhere that the carb cleaner get out. | | | | Apr 7th, 07, 03:45 PM | | Junior Member Join Date: Aug 2006

| Sounds like you got some more trash in the bowl.If you cant get the screws out,use a pair of diagnols to grab the screw heads with. Most of the time that will hold them enough to loosen them | | | | Apr 10th, 07, 09:08 PM | | Junior Member Join Date: Aug 2006

| well i did get the bottom off but it turns out that its not getting any spark and the coil is good i got it teast and it gives a negative reading when you test after the coil. I think it could be the magnito so im going to open it up and check it out. | | | | Apr 11th, 07, 08:52 PM | | Junior Member Join Date: Aug 2006
