Is this good to use for changing the rear oil in my Brute? I've been searching around and it says it's recommended for 4x4 ATV's with wet braking. Also says its used as replacement to Mobilfluid 424. The one thing that threw me off was that it's 5w30. I also have read on different forums that people have used this and works good. Anybody have any knowledge on this? Thanks.
I use the KawiChem stuff, I always carry an extra bottle just in case... I know there are other lubricants approved for use in there, but with the brakes being inside the rear diff I prefer to stick with Kawi.
Amsoil makes an awesome product, with that said I'd be very leery of putting anything in that diff other than the kawi wet brake fluid.
The stuff isn't that expensive, and it's not something you have to change very often either. Better off with the oil that Kawi reccomends than to take the chance in my opinion.
Let us know what you decide.

I about FREAKED when I found out the front diff took 10W-30... but it's because of the clutch pack for the variable diff lock. Not too sure how I feel about puttin 5w30 in the rear.... sounds kinda thin.
Thanks for the reply. Yea I was trying to get what I needed all at one spot so I searched the site and saw the info about 4x4 atv's with wet braking, the only oil with that info. I've also saw a couple of threads where people have used it with good feedback. Also had 1 or 2 that wouldn't recommend it though. I'll keep researching before I use it though, it will be here ina day or so.
I havent tried any other fluids yet on either of mine.I have always used the Kawi wet brake oil myself. If the fluid isnt the right kind,it wont so much hurt anything but it will make the brakes not work and it could soak into your pads which could ruin them down the road
I just emailed the AMSoil dealer I got it from and asked if they recommended this. I'll post the info when I receive it. Guess next time I should contact them BEFORE I make a purchase for something I don't know much about. That's online shopping for you.
I have never been really trusty in synthetic oil anyways.Amsoil is good oil no doubt but synthetic is a very very slick oil.I would just be hesitant about puttng it on brakes.
My email: I just ordered Product ID: ATHQT Product Name: Synthetic Tractor Hydraulic/Transmission Fluid for my 4x4 ATV with wet braking system. The ATV is a Kawasaki Brute Force 750 4x4i and recommends Mobil 424, Citgo transgard Tractor Hydraulic Fluid, or Exxon Hydraul 560. After searching the site this was the only oil that I found with the information about 4x4 ATV's with wet braking systems. I noticed it was 5w30 weight, which seems kind of low. I was wondering if this is the type of oil recommended for the rear final gear case fluid for my ATV.
Response: Thank you for contacting AMSOIL with your concerns.
In response to your inquiry, the ATH is the proper oil for this application.
Thank you again for the opportunity to respond to your concerns. As always, please feel free to contact us again if we can be of further assistance.
However, I asked a technician for AMSoil over the phone and he told me I was looking for SVG Severe Gear 75w90. Forgot to mention wet braking, I figured he knew after saying I had a BF.
I already ordered some Kawachem wet brake fluid, but atleast I can save the AMSoil for the next time I guess.
