| winch question hopefully one of you guys can help. Recently I bought a Venom 3000 winch for the Griz. Installed it with no probs and everything worked fine. About two weeks ago, I was cleaning up some of wiring, trimming and shortening the lengths. Re-hooked all wires and everything worked fine. This weekend I was using it and the out button was reeling the winch in and the in button would not work. Tried it again and nothing, no clicking or anything. Got the ol test light out, and it is hot the the connector and the wires that go the actual switch is hot. The positive line to the winch is not hot. What do you guys think? | | | | Jul 24th, 07, 10:27 PM | | fixen um up 1 at a time Join Date: Jan 2007 Location: loma rica california

| Sounds like your rocker switch isn't working right. | | | | Jul 25th, 07, 09:53 AM | | J Boyz Motorsports Join Date: Jul 2007 Location: Coulterville, Illinois

| Is your winched hooked to a relay? If so, I would suggest throwing the relay away and wiring your winch direct.... thus eliminating many headaches....
Just my 2 cents! | | | | Jul 26th, 07, 12:37 PM | | Junior Member Join Date: Dec 2006 Location: oklahoma

| yeah all the connections are good. If by the rocker you mean the in/out switch, that's what I thought but it also had a remote you plug in and it won't work either. Im not sure how to wire it directly | | | | Jul 30th, 07, 12:26 PM | | Junior Member Join Date: Dec 2006 Location: oklahoma

| just as a quick update, I emailed the company explaining my probs. They thought it was the connector and have already shipped me another one. I was pretty impressed with their service | | | | Jul 30th, 07, 04:39 PM | | Senior Member Join Date: May 2007 Location: Texas

| Kind of the same deal here. I have a Viper winch broke on the first outing but they had me a new freespool knob and a metal star wheel (original was plastic) at my door in 4 days. | | | | |
