This could be any number of things.First off I would check the tire pressure.Next I would possibly suspect a bad wheel bearing. How about a bent piece in the steering system?Possibly a dragging brake?
the others may be right you could have something bent that you just cant tell by just looking or exces ware somewhere in upper pivot or mounting I would say wear did you check wheel alignment?
If it is stuck in 4x4 and it is an electrical problem. I may be just fine with the key off. When it is up on jacks does it turn easy. If it turns easy set it down and try it still easy? turn it on and try it and so on untill you find the problem.
im confused.. do you mean the wheels are hard to turn of the handle bars? I thought you meants the handle bars like turning a corner. If thats true then Yes being stuck in 4 wheel drive is prabably the reason. It is different when your engine is off and the tires are not pulling. Try backing up and steering it. also did you recently change the wheels or tires?
Ok lets start over. Sometimes it is hard to turn last time it did it I was in the yard so I put a jack under it and it turned fine wheels spun free and independent of each other I did try the same thing with the key on somethig
I have an 800 spm that randomly shifts in and out of 4x4 regardless of where the selector switch is at. I called my dealer to ask about it and he said that even while in two wheel drive, if you spin the rear tires alot it will still try to engage the front diff. I guess this breaks some sort of part that cost's 200+ dollars. I don't know if that is the only way to break this part, but I know mine started doing it after sliding around on icy roads in and out of wheel drive. The dealer here tells me the new part is upgraded to prevent this from happening again, but I couldn't tell you because for 200+ dollars I can live with it being in 4x4 all the time. It also makes it kind of hard to steer too.
