| I need some ideas on how to do this. I'm wanting to make a bracket that will clamp onto my front rack to the "lock and ride" type front rack. I'm just putting in 2 or 3 1gal gas cans. I'm wanting it to be removeable, and I'm just going to use bungees to keep the cans from jumping out. I also want it to be pretty simple. I have an idea already, but I'm hoping somebody else could give me a better idea that I haven't thought of.

| rubber mat on rack (possibly a door mat) with two rubber bungees connected in the center by a large keyring (any metal ring approx 1-1/2" diameter... ends of front bungee attached to front corners of rack... ends of back bungee to back corners... instant harness and non-slip surface. metal brackets and cradles have a bad habit of scarring/gouging/cutting into plastic gas cans... even when ground down and rounded. This could produce a potentially harmful situation in the form of gasoline spilling out onto a hot engine/bike or the rider. Just my opinion.. lol ride safe. | | | | Feb 22nd, 06, 12:46 AM | | Almighty Supercook Join Date: Feb 2006 Location: Key West

| Thinking about velcro and bungees mabye. Total non slip surface, and I can get industrial strength velcro from work for free. LOL | | | | Feb 22nd, 06, 01:14 AM | | Beer Wagon Driver STAFF Join Date: Jan 2006 Location: DFW, Tx.

| It doesn't, but it is. The stuff rips before it peels off. Tried peelin some off with pliers and couldn't do it. Just ripped off little chunks. We use alot of it onboard the boat. Keeps all kinds of stuff from moving around and killing somebody. LOL | | | | Feb 23rd, 06, 12:02 AM | | Beer Wagon Driver STAFF Join Date: Jan 2006 Location: DFW, Tx.
