Grizz 350

I purchased a new yamaha grizz and it won't idle right, in fact I already ruined the spark plug because I ran the atv while it was in choke position, I replaced the spark plug and messed with the idle screw it has. this morning it started but it wouldn't let me take it off choke with out it killing, after about 3-4 starts of letting it warm up it won't even start? Any suggestions, and yes I will probably be taking it in some time this week.

I work far a Yamaha Dealer and I wouldn't mess with anything until you let them look at it. Don't tell them you have messed with anything either, because if something is messed up they will blame you for it. I hate to say this, but most Dealers are like sharks.

It soundsl ike one of the jets.

Saturday morning I contacted my dealer and he told me to mess with the idle screw and put a new spark plug in, other than that I did nothing. I guess I will be taking this back to get it working properly. thanks

Good news, took it in yesterday afternoon and they drained the gas line and it was cloged with some brown crap. The service guy says this happens frequently when they come from the factory!
I am ready to go!

Brown stuff.

This sounds to me as if the bike had sat in the showroom for a period of time. The bikes in the showroom all set with empty gas tanks. This is for insurance reasons. Good for the people selling them but bad for the bike.In time moisture will collect and be trapped in the gas tank. When gas is put in the tank, the water being heavier than the gas, will settle to the bottom of the tank, and presto! Instant carb problems. Just be glad that you did not have to push it home.Ken

Ya no kidding. Well I don't think it was sitting in the show room but I am sure it sat in the crate for some time. at least they said they had to assemble it?
