clanking/ratteling noise coming from the front end area...mostly in 4x4 and low range...any clues? also seems to be mostly noticable on deaccleration....

Klanking Ratteling

I feel your pane. I would not overlook a bad universal joint. Raise the wheel off the ground and give it a pull. Try and lift the tire from bottom to top. This should be an easy one to locate. Ken

I can take the front shafts left and right one at a time and exert pressure...on one of the shafts there is a small movement (click)...but not the other side

If this joint is worn..does it do any damage to the Diff. case or just wear the axle? do you have to replace the whole axle? does it require any specialized (Kawasaki) tools?
Thanks
