94 Polaris 400 L carburator issue

I have a slow fuel drip from the hose below the carburator that just began. The machine is not used much. What might be causing this?

could be trash in the carb or the float may be sticking causeing it to overflow the bowl and come out the overflow tube? i suggest when you know it's not going to be used for awhile drain the gas tank and carb (there should be a drain screw above the hose that is leaking).

rebuild the carb and install a new needle valve.
