oil change for can am 400

it is soon time for my first oil change i hae about 10 hrs running time it and about 90 miles should i wait awhile longer or just get it done as book says after 10 hrs the dealer will do first one and check out the bike but after i want to do my own changes so would castrol 10w30 be fine or what should i use castrol is all i use in my cars and find it good or should i try castrol syntec for my bike or what should i use thanks

Take in in for the first one. Changed it your self after that. I would not use any kind of Automobile Oil in it. I would use the Can-Am or something else that they would recommend. No matter what anyone says MOST ALL Automoble oil is different. I know that is not good for the wet clutches in Yamaha, honda,Suzuki, and Kawasaki. I have seen wheelers come in at the Yamaha dealer and told us they were slipping. FIRST question, what kind of oil?? Changed the oil out flush it and its good to go again.

Valvoline makes an ATV oil and Motorcycle oil both. THose are very good.
