2003 recon wont start

my 03 recon wont start using the electric start switch, but I can pull start it all day. I can here a clicking noise coming from the SWITCH ASSY under the seat what do I need to fix it? Im going to put the battery on charge cause it could be weak. Let me know. Thanks

My 04 Recon is doing the same thing. I think all I need is a battery. I just have not bought one yet.

I agree with the other posters.But I would put a new battery in it as soon as possible. Why? I suspect that this may be the original battery.I would bet a brew that it has a bad cell.This can put a load on the charging system. The battery will not take a charge, but the bikes charging system does not know when to quit.Get the Energizer Bunny! It keeps on going,,,,,,,,,, Ken

Hope it's the battery or the relay. If not, It's the starter.

Got it! I threw a battery charger on it and boom it starts like a charm. I went ahead and ordered another battery from work. Yes it still is the stock battery.
