Polaris Sportsman

I have a 2002 Polaris Sportsman 500 HO and I think someone has put the wrong bolts on that hold the starter on the bike. I was wondering if someone know what threads the two bolts are that hold this starter on. I have some good threads left and I need the right bolt so I don't lose those. The bolts that are in it are 1/4" x 20. By looking at the female threads I think they are tighter. Thanks

Go to Bikebandit.com and look up parts for your machine.
When you get their, they have photos of just about all the
parts with Bolt size. Look up starter and it will show you the
starter and the mounting bolts size.

that's probably cause their metric.
