| Big Bear Snorkel/exhaust trouble I have a 2008 big bear. Put on a K & N filter and a supertrapp mudslinger exhuast. Sounded and ran great. Then, I got one of those rediculous pipes that goes way up and then extends out to keep water out when you go deep. Also ordered a snorkel from bayou snorkels and put it on at the same time. Heard that you're supposed to run the two hoses from the carburetor that stick up under the seat to high ground so i extended them out and up. Did the same with the hose that comes from the left front of the engine because it was connected to the stock air intake that came off. Now when i give it any gas it struggles and sometimes dies. I'm just wondering what I did wrong (if anything) or if it just needs a jet kit really bad or if that rediculous pipe has something to do with it. I know this is a really long message, and any help would be deeply appreciated!!! | | | | Jun 12th, 08, 09:27 AM | | Senior Member Join Date: May 2007 Location: Texas

Sounds like you need a jet kit. | | | | Jun 12th, 08, 05:18 PM | | Junior Member Join Date: May 2008 Location: Mesquite, TX

If its the same problem, you will have to buy some pipe reducers to install in the end of you intake snorkel. Example: if your snorkel is 2 inch-buy a 2" to 1 3/4" reducer-install it in the end of the snorkel and see how it runs. If its better but not totally good, then go to the next size down. Good luck! oldatvr | | | | Jun 13th, 08, 09:16 AM | | Senior Member Join Date: May 2007 Location: Texas
