grizzly electical or tranny problem

i have a friend i ride with he has a grizzly 700.he has a problem that when he is in high and driving along all of a sudden the revese light comes on and bike boggs down to sudden stop and shuts off.then you start it and its back to normal.looking for info on what it might be a bad sensor maybe.

Its the reverse override sensor. Take it o your Yamaha dealer and they will replace it. You can also go to Grizzly Central.com and they have a way to overide it. People are even having trouble out of the new upgraded sensors. But thats his problem. 100% positive!!!!

My cousin has a grizzly 660, he was having the same problem and we installed a new battery and the problem went away

its not the battery already tried that passed on info about the sensor thanks for help will let you know how that works out

I gurantee you its the sensor. I seen it at the Yamaha dealer I use to work at. I'm now at Kawasaki & Suzuki. The Grizzly 660 has different sensors.

I HAVE TOLD HIM THAT AND GAVE HIM WEBSITE FOR BYPASS THAT YOU POSTED.THIS DUDE IS VERY STUBBORN BECAUSE WE RIDE ALOT AND CANT DEAL WITH NOT HAVING BIKE.HE ACTUALLY ASKED ME HOW MUCH MORE DAMAGE DO YOU THINK HE COULD DO TO BIKE RIDING IN ITS CURRENT STATIS.SO I ASKED THE ? FOR HIM.DO YOU HAVE ANSWER.
