Unhappy chain problems

the chain on my atv is very loose. what should i do?

Um there is a chain adjuster on there somewhere.Adjust it acording to the manuals specs.

My freind just bought it used, and when I looked at it I could find no screw nut or bolt that seemed like it would be the right one to adjust. If you have a link to an online manual that would be great because the quad did not come with one.

Go to your local atv parts dealer and buy yourself an o ring chain that will solve everything

the chain adjustment is to the right of the sprocket, its the piece of metal with 2 slots in it, take a crowbar or a screw driver and put it in one of the slots and push the adjuster foward to loosen and pull back to tighten.

but before you adjust it you have to loosen the 3 allen head bolts on the rear end 2 are side by side and one is on the bottom of the axel. then tighten them back up after you adjust the chain
