2001 honda foreman 450

I am new to this site and would like some help fixing my honda.This four wheeler set for a couple of years before I bought it. Ran just fine for the first few months. Then started leaking gas from the overflow hose, so I would turn off the gas when I shut it down. Then the next time I tried to run it ,it ran for a few minutes and then staled. After trying to start it for a while i checked the oil and noticed it was full....of gas.
Why would this happen and how do I fix this? Thanks

It sounds like the float is stuck in the carb. You should try to clean it out or put a kit in it. Sometimes you can tap on the carb and it will unstick but that is a temporary fix.

you'll need to take the carb apart and clean it. sounds like the overflow line on the bottom of the carb is plugged also. i had a few that the pin holding the float to the carb wore into the carb giving it enough play that it would mess with the float level and would leak gas.
