Question my predator battery wont charge while its running

my predators battery will charge with a charger but after i start it 4 or 5 times it goes dead.all my ground wires have good contact.could it be a bad battery?it is a new battery and ive never had this problem before.

UMMM... DOES YOUR BIKE HAVE AN ALTERNATOR? AND IF SO, MAYBE THAT HAS *stopped functioning*.

check the volts going into the batt. when running.

Agreed... check volts with machine off... then with machine on... if volts increase when running, then it's most likely a batt situation.

If volts are the same when running or (usually) less (because of draw from the ignition system/accessories) then it's likely you're alternator.

I seem to have fixed the problem. I have always had trouble with my ground wire coming off and my battery going dead, so i added a second ground using electric fence wire. I removed that and now it seems to stay charged.
