2007 BRUTE FORCE 650 IGNITION REPLACEMENT

Hi - I just got my BF650 returned from my local police with ignition damage (of course). The thief jammed a screwdriver into the ignition to start it. If you jiggle the screwdriver the computer screen will come on for a few seconds and then turn off. I know I have to replace the ignition switch but I am wondering if this might have caused any internal computer/chip problems. The impound bill was way more then I expected it to be which I thought would be free since they were stolen, but what did I know!

Can anyone give me some information on what I need to do or what I need to look for if there is further damage?

And can anyone direct me to a good repair shop in Atlanta, GA?

Glad you got your wheels back! congrats.

I can't think of anything at this time that would be affected other than the ignition. But if it's anything like the other machines I've replaced ignition switches on, allow yourself alot of time. It's usually not just popping the switch out and plugging into the back of it, they usually come with an entire wiring setup that goes back to the main harness. (which is alot of wire-fishing)
