I just did the same thing (hmf utility series and dynojet kit) on my BF750.

What exactly is it doing? backfiring? stalling? dying? popping (if so is the popping coming from the carbs or the pipe)

Is this with the bike all back together, or do you still have the airbox lid off? I know mine ran terrible until I put the lid & gasket back on the airbox and had it all back together.

Scribner is the jetting guru here, I had pretty good luck actually with the dynojet fuel/air mixture settings and recommended jets..

Maybe between the two of us we can help you get back on the trail

Let us know what it's doing.

It will run great in neutral at an idle. But as soon as you ride it and put it under a load it actually sounds like a 2 stroke dirt bike and falls on its face until you get about 25 mph and then it will just take off like rocket. Its not hesitating through the carbs but through the exhaust.Completely together or with airbox cover off it runs about the same.I can make it somewhat better with fuel air mix screws but nothing to brag about. Its about to drive me nuts!I was tempted to put the old stuff back on!But ive got to much invested. By the way its an 05 brute force 650 with 27 in swamp lites, hmf utility exhaust, moose power module, and dynojet kit. I hope you guys can help.

Hmmm... sounds like it's not getting enough fuel?

Scrib is actually better with this stuff than I am... I'll give him a call tomm. and see if he'll chime in.

You may have to go back in and open up the jets a bit.

I'll see what I can find out for ya.

Just out of curiosity.. what notch did you put the needle valve e-clips on?

And did you start from the top (flat end towards the notches) or from the bottom (closest to the point) of the needle?

Sorry I havn't gotten back with you sooner, in-laws are in town visiting.

I left Scribner a message just now, I'm sure he'll touch base with you here in the next day or two.

He knows alot more about carbs than I do, they scare me... LOL

You are way to rich on your needle.Since you live in Kentucky your elevation is very high and your air density is alot diff from how we jet down here in the deep south.Move your clip up to the 3rd notch from the top and try that. The reason is popping through your exhaust is because you have unburtn fuel igniting in your exhaust causing it to cumbust in your head pipe. You may even have to move it up to your 2nd notch depending on how igh your elevation is.

I have been meaning to mention, make sure your choke isnt stuck also. The chokes on brutes stick kinda easy and that will also make it run like it is now

I took the airbox lid off and it runs probably 85 percent better! What do you say about that.Someone mentioned drilling holes in there airbox lid helped them, but that seems a little redneck to me. Even though i do lve in ky ha ha!

Im starting to think that your chokes are stuck.I dont like drilling holes in the airbox cause that kinda defeats having a 4wd drive bike.
