| raptor trouble need help!!!

| white ussually means it's burning water (forgot to ask year and size) if it's a water cooled one could be a head gasket getting bad or if it's a real light blue smoke could be burning oil that could be valve stem seals in the cylinder head going bad. | | | | Jul 31st, 08, 10:46 PM | | Junior Member Join Date: Jul 2008

| it is a 2001 and it is water cooled. i was told my vaules were going to go soon but they didnt know when so ill look at that.

| ya just read your other post. not sure about the raptor but i'm pretty sure it's a dry sump motor. need to read the manual but to check the oil you need to run the bike for about 4 mins. and then let it sit a couple mins. and then check the level. i am a honda mechanic not familiar with the raptor much but that is how to check the oil in a dry sump motor. | | | | Aug 1st, 08, 12:05 PM | | Junior Member Join Date: Jul 2008

| If it has piston ring in it a guy told us it could be that one of them broke Maybe, I'm not a 100% sure, but it could be. I hope you find out the problem as soon as possible | | | |
