hi guys, this is my first post and i can say im glad there is amessage board for this stuff
i have 3 quads and im having problems with my polaris.
its a 2004 polaris sportsman 600.
when its cold it starts fine and runs good. when you start driving it for about 5-10 min the lcd panel goes out completely so there is no display. now if i turn it off i will not start when i turn the key and also the display will not turn on either.
if i let it sit for about 20-30 min then try to start it again it will start and the display will be on.
If anyone can help me that would be great because it will be very expensive to take it in to get fixed.
any help would be greatly appreciated.

Check your connections from your stator. It sounds like there is a bad connection somewhere and when it heats up it is working loose

Had a similar problem with my Brute... It wouldn't affect the running of the machine, but the display would just disappear... sometimes the LED indicators for reverse/neutral etc. wouldn't work either.

I ended up taking the pod apart and checking the connections and sure enough... i had a connection that had shaken loose. The second time it happened was my fault... a modification I made to the pod was rubbing against a wire and eventually broke the wire nearly into.

I agree with Scrib, sounds like a bad connection... hope that's all it is.

Good luck

Chuck
