Ok this is starting to drive me nuts. I replaced the left outer u-joint on my Sportsman cause the last one lost a cap and fell out. Now that one lasted about 2 weeks then it looks like the cap fell out again but this time it took the ear right off the yoke! Ok, so that side has a new joint, shaft, and wheel bearing. Well this past weekend i noticed a clunk/squeak from the rear, but when i checked nothing was loose or falling off so I kept riding. Long story short the right outer joint decided to do like the other and leave, taking the axle with it. Is this a common problem with this style of rear axle, casue in '99 they changed them to cv joints. I have no lift in the quad but I do have a better tire on it.
