| Welcome to the Bog, Yes this has happend alot, cause the way the diff was designed, the only thing I know that will fix this problem, is Gorilla Axle came up with a locking axle, but they are Gorilla's.. | | | | Aug 18th, 06, 06:40 PM | | Beer Wagon Driver STAFF Join Date: Jan 2006 Location: DFW, Tx.

| I've had it happen in the past on Grizzlies and Foreman front diffs, replace the diff seals, the C clip, and change the diff fluid and it should be fine for a while.
After time, the C clip weakens and allows the axle to slip out if you put it in a bind. When it comes out of the splines it will "wobble" usually destroying the diff seal. If you happen to be in water, mud, or even dust when this happens then your diff fluid is contaminated and must be flushed and replaced.
C clips are cheap, Seals are cheap, Diff fluid is cheap, Diffs are around $1200 to $2000 depending on make and model.

| It is very common on the grizzlies. You can take a small o-ring and put it under the c-clip.It will be a little tougher to get in but it will keep it in. | | | | Aug 18th, 06, 11:35 PM | | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2006 Location: Mobile, Al

| One popped out of my wife's foreman (no lift... just 27" tires).... weren't even going through rough stuff when it happened.
Stupid me... I thought the 4wd just wasn't engaging because of some mud built up on the actuator connectors... I went splashing through the water with it and next thing I know there's lime sherbert squirting out of the diff....
15 days later and 2 cases of generic diff fluid... it finally came clean.
IT SUCKS!

Chuck.
P.S. I like the o-ring idea... that sounds cool. | | | | Mar 27th, 07, 02:03 AM | | Member Join Date: Feb 2007 Location: MIAMI,FL

| I have noticed it happen but not on the more recent grizzlies, it was more like the first 2-3 years of production. What year was yours? | | | | |
