Not completely familiar with Yamaha wiring on the Rhino, but if it's anything like the Brute Force the wires are already hot with 12 volts.
I took those wires, tapped in and ran my own up to the pod... installed a switch and then ran wires back down to the back of the machine to install my back up light.
I don't really like these pre-wired for accessories setups because they make it hard to install a switch. Who on earth wants a back up light or any accessory for that matter that's on all the time... or that you have to switch on and off at the back of the machine?
This is what I did... then again... I'm particular in how I wire things and DONT like cutting into OEM wiring harnesses if I don't have to.
