Mike Hi! STAFF Join Date: Jan 2006 Location: Lower Arkansas Posts: 2,479	On a Polaris, it is a necessity. Anything else would probably burn the motor up the first time you went and rode it. This is the oil that the factory recommendations call for, and these engines are very picky about making sure you got the right stuff in them.

Ccrane Beer Wagon Driver STAFF Join Date: Jan 2006 Location: DFW, Tx. Posts: 3,323	I've never run anything in any of my machines but 10W-40. Manufacturer's specifications. I've had stellar performance from all of my machines, KNOCK ON WOOD... and the only time I put anything else in is when I swamp one. (even then it's still 10W-40.. just the cheaper brands) Hope this helps. Ride Safe, Chuck
