what weight oil do you run in your quad i've always used 10-40

0w-40 Synthetic in our Polaris 700's. The stuff looks like purple water.

On a Polaris, it is a necessity. Anything else would probably burn the motor up the first time you went and rode it.

This is the oil that the factory recommendations call for, and these engines are very picky about making sure you got the right stuff in them.

I've never run anything in any of my machines but 10W-40. Manufacturer's specifications.

I've had stellar performance from all of my machines, KNOCK ON WOOD... and the only time I put anything else in is when I swamp one. (even then it's still 10W-40.. just the cheaper brands)
