I have a 2003 Arctic Cat 400I and I have found that it is very under powered for how big the machine is. I have added a k&n air filter but that did not help much. I was just curious if any one else out there has heard this or if it is just my machine. Does anyone have any ideas on how to get a little more power out of it without spending a lot of money?

When you say it lacks power, are you talking about acceleration, or are you noticing this when trying to pull something?

It is just all over under powered. The machine weighs in at 644 pounds dry, so it is massive in size. Compared to my 03 yamaha kodiak 400, the a.c seems like a kids toy. I find it is real sluggish when going uphills. It is still a good machine but I wish it had a little more power.

Maybe add a 2" snorkel and rejet to allow for more air...the more air the better.
