  • 23 miles of trails, east of Birmingham and south of Annistion near Munford in the Talladega National Forest.
  • Directions: To reach the trailhead from Birmingham, head east on US20 to Exit 185 (Oxford). Proceed south on SR21 toward Talledega for 4.5 miles. Turn left heading east on CR135. After 3.5 miles, turn right heading south on Kentuck Road. After about 1.5 miles, turn right heading west on FS643 to the parking area.

Is the Kentuck ORV Trail system a complete day worth of riding? What gear is needed for this ride? Is there somewhere I can get maps of the trails? Thanks

I rode there awhile back on my dirtbike...IIRC there are @ 20 miles of trails. Probably a few hours worth of riding, and not alot of challenging stuff...rode there after it rained and there were a few muddy spots.

Not much gear needed...helmet and water.

They have a map posted at the trail head (color coded trails).
