Directions:
Highland Park Resort is located near Cedartown, GA, in the beautiful Northwest Georgia mountains. Travel time from the Atlanta area is about 50 minutes to 1 hour 30 minutes, depending on traffic and where you live around Atlanta. Birmingham and Chattanooga are slightly further away, and take about 20-30 minutes longer drive time.
  • Directions from Atlanta, coming out I-20 West to GA exit 11 (Hwy 27/Bremen):
Take GA exit 11 off I-20, turn north towards Bremen, stay on Hwy 27 for 22 miles and turn left on Hwy 100 South. Go 2.7 miles on Hwy 100 South and turn right on Lime Branch Rd, then left at the next stop sign, then bear right at the next “Y” intersection. You are now on Culp Lake Rd, follow it 1.9 miles and it will become a nice dirt road. We are 1/4 mile further on the left.
  • Directions from Birmingham, coming out I-20 East to GA exit 5 (Hwy 100/Tallapoosa):
Take GA exit 5 off I-20, Hwy 100 Tallapoosa exit. Turn north towards Tallapoosa. Stay on Hwy 100 through the quick left-right zig zag across the railroad tracks in Tallapoosa(watch for the Hwy 100 signs!). Continue on 100 north about 12 miles to the Polk County sign on right side of Hwy 100. Go 1 mile further and turn left at the next road (Fullwood Springs Rd). Go 1 mile and turn right at the stop sign onto Johnson Lake Rd. Go 1/2 mile and bear left onto Culp Lake Rd at the "Y" intersection. Follow Culp Lake Rd 1.9 miles and it will become a nice dirt road. We are 1/4 mile further on the left.
  • Directions From Cedartown:
From Cedartown, go south on Hwy 27 (called Main Street in town), and take the right turn onto Hwy 100 South about 2 miles south of Cedartown (do NOT turn on HWY 100 North in Cedartown). Follow Hwy 100 south 2.7 miles and turn right on Lime Branch Rd, then left at the next stop sign, then bear right at the next “Y” intersection. You are now on Culp Lake Rd, follow it 1.9 miles and it will become a nice dirt road. We are 1/4 mile further on the left.

Local ATV park among nation's best

January 22, 2007
Highland Park Resort in Cedartown, a favorite motorcycle and ATV off-road riding area in the Southeast, has been picked by ATV Pathfinder Off-Road Guide as one of the top 50 riding destinations in America.

Although Highland Park has not yet been open a full year, the scenic Northwest Georgia mountain setting and “roller coaster ride” trails have made the park a top choice locally, and now the “Top Fifty” award distinguishes the Georgia riding park as a top choice nationally.

Paul Wright, Highland Park’s founder, commented that “visitors from as far away as Michigan, Pennsylvania, Texas, and Florida have visited the park, and even international visitors from Bermuda, Germany, Mexico, and South Africa. I know local hotels, restaurants, gas stations and other businesses are happy with the visitors.”

Highland Park is open seven days a week and continues to add more riding every month, plus they are involved in community charities, having already held their first annual charity events for Toys for Tots and the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

According to their website, Highland Park Resort currently has 17 one-way trials and about 50 miles worth of riding. All trials are rated for difficulty, ranging from beginner to expert plus a peewee track and a peewee trial. More information can be found at Highland Park Resort or by calling 770-748-0771.

I had to check on this one to be sure... I knew it couldn't be Highland Park near Dallas, Texas!

If they had an ATV park there you couldn't leave your ATV unsupervised for 2 second or else it'd be sitting on blocks and the wheels/tires would be missing.

LOL

Sounds like a nice park.

Ride Safe,

Chuck
