The "Badlands" ORV Park is a privately-owned tract of about 700 acres in western Indiana, about 30 minutes south west of Lafayette. It is owned and operated by the Myers family. It is literally a smorgasbord of off-road riding: sand dunes, pea gravel hills, bottomless mud, the tightest off-camber woods trails, extreme rock crawling, drop offs, hood-deep water, etc. You name it, it's probably here.

Right near the Badlands is a campground with a pressure washer that I heard many people encourage the patronage of prior to my first visit to the Badlands in Attica, IN.
Well I tried to patronize the pressure washer to knock off some of the mud for the ride home and after depositing my money learned that the pressure washer was in serious disrepair, moving the hose slightly furthered the problem and reduced nozzle pressure to zero when the cracked hose went on and burst through.
No one available onsite I went back to the Badlands office to ask if they could connect me with the owner of the pressure washer, at first they indicated they had no knowledge and after some pressing confessed that the wash owner was in the back room.
Andrew was called out to deal with his customer service problem and while I was explaining the issue he turned back towards the backroom to answer his cell phone. Effectively tuning out my issue, I never got re-imbursed those two dollars and it will cost them my business in the future.
Please only do business with reputable wash operators so as not to propogate the preying on riders that can manifest near these parks and evident in yesterday's exchange.
Ok, I am Sorry that you did'nt get to spray off your vehicle.
But you said that they had no indication who the owner was? I was standing right in the back ofice when i heard you ask the lady at the counter "who owns the campground". I heard them plain as day say my name then she realized i was standing back their. Their was no hesitation at all. And goes for me on the cell phone i was making a call to someone at the Campground office "where the pressure washer was" To tell them to go put an out of order sign on the machine, so that no one else would have the same trouble. Before i got off the phone, Where were you? NO WHERE TO BE FOUND. It is kind of hard to return your lowsy $2 when you are no where to be found.
It is the people like you that ruin a good thing for everybody else.
The pressure washer is a privalige to have for all the great customers that come ride and have a good time.
Anyone that has a problem in the past with the pressure washer knows that i have done my best to fix it so they can get the job done. If it could not be fixed they get their money back. But in order to get your money back you gotta stick around. I thought that maybe $2 Was nothin to you, You didnt seem that interested on a refund.
On behalf of the campground and everyone at the Badlands we do not appriciate you putting us down on one of your cryin fits!!! If you want to cry and whine about a misely $2, THAT YOU COULD HAVE BEEN REFUNDED ON, then dont come have fun.
I wanted to put a plug in for Badlands. It probably my favorite place for both my Jeep and my ATV. The owners, Troy & Lisa, have always opened their doors and gone out of their way to be hospitable for our Jeep club when we visit. There is something there for everyone with all degrees of difficulty: rocks, sand dunes, mud, water, trails, etc. Some areas are unique to the Jeeps and some unique to the ATV's and some areas they share.
Wow, this is very hard to believe, I found the badlands website and decided to give it a try, and from the very first time I was impressed to say the least!!! Everyone is sooooooooooooooo friendly, from the minute you register at the office, (take a pick from anyone inside) to that nice older lady that welcomes you once you have your wristband, to the staff inside or by the pressure washers, anywhere inside the badlands I LOVE THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!! my son who is 8 and my 15 year old daughter like to ride their atv in this particular park, that's why we make the trip from North side of Chicago all the way to Attica. Once we got lost and got there one hour before they closed, and their policy clearly states that they will NOT let anyone in the park one hour before closing, well, not only did the girls not charge me a dime, but they let my son in, and that was the first time we visited the badlands, and that is the reason why I came back, because of their excellent customer service, once the girls heard my story of how we left Chicago at 7am and got lost and ended up in Michigan and then came back and found Attica they just told us to make sure that we left 5 minutes prior to closing, so my son made the most out of those 55 minutes. That's why it's hard for me to believe that this actually happened to you, give them another chance, I'm pretty sure you'll like this park, forget about your $2.00.
